The faculty of economics at the University of Mainz, Germany, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in international economics. We equally invite applicants with a theoretical and empirical focus and will also consider applications in the field of urban and regional economics. The fixed-term contract is for three years, renewable once. Targeted starting date is September 1st 2026.
Teaching duties are four academic hours per week (two courses/tutorials consisting of 90 minutes per week, approx. 2x14 weeks per calendar year). Courses will be taught at the Bachelor's and/or Master's level in English.
Knowledge of the German language is helpful but not required. The department is committed to diversity and inclusion.
Applicants should have a PhD or be close to completion and should show strong commitment to research in the field of international economics.
