Postdoc in Microeconomics

Place of work: Brig/Switzerland
Start of work: Spring 2026 or upon agreement

This is a unique opportunity to conduct independent research, to work with experienced researchers, and to organizing research seminars and workshops. We are looking for candidates with a PhD in Economics or a related field who are enthusiastic about the possibilities of online education and working in a modern and digital environment. Your tasks

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research focused on behavioral and experimental economics, law and economics, political economy, and neighboring fields
  • Develop your academic profile and publication record
  • Collaborate with other researchers at UniDistance Suisse and other international institutions in research projects, publications, and grant applications
  • Assist in online teaching or develop your own teaching activities
  • Contribute to the organization of research seminars, workshops, and related academic events

Your profile

  • PhD in Economics or a related field (completed or near completion)
  • Interest or background in at least one of the following: behavioral and experimental economics, law and economics, political economy
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with solid training in applied econometric methods and/or microeconomic theory
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of German and/or French is a plus, but not a necessary requirement.
