The Chair of Industrial Economics at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU), Germany, is inviting applications for a
Fulltime Post Doctoral Research Associate Position.
The contract is initially for a fixed term of three years with an intended start date of 1. May 2025. There is a possibility for an extension at the end of the first three year period. The position is full time. Nevertheless, applicants wishing to work part time may be considered. Remuneration will be based on the collective agreement for the public service of German federal states (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst der Länder, TV-L).
Duties/responsibilities:
- Contribute to the research output of the chair
- Hold exercise sessions for the lectures offered by the chair
- Supervise independent student research projects and bachelor/master theses
- Possibility to design and offer an independent course
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in an area related to industrial economics and competition policy
- High degree of research expertise demonstrated through the quality of their PhD dissertation as well as high quality publications and/or working papers
- Interest in empirical industrial organization and econometric methodology is a plus
- Readiness to be a team player and high-motivation
- Good written and oral English language skills, good German language skills are beneficial
