The CERDI is opening a full researcher position in development economics (no teaching duties). The CERDI is a joint research center of the Université Clermont Auvergne, CNRS, and IRD, located in Clermont-Ferrand.

We are seeking a candidate with expertise in analyzing the effects of natural disasters in low-income countries, and more broadly in the analysis of the different sources of vulnerability of the populations.

The position offers the following features:

· Tenure period of 3 to 6 years.

· Initial net salary of 2.8k euros per month (plus family allowances).

· Research funds of at least 250k euros.

· Starting date: September 2025 (or later).

This package should include a CV, cover letter, Job Market Paper, and three reference letters. Additional supporting materials, such as a research statement, can also be submitted.

Flyouts will be organized in January and February 2025.
