The Department of Economics at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) and the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) invite applications for an assistant professorship (non-tenure track, 6 years fixed-term). The start date is flexible.
The position is at the Department of Economics at JKU Linz and comes with a secondment to the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) in Vienna, accounting for 50% of the employment commitment. At WIFO, the position will be in the “Climate, Environmental, and Resource Economics” research group.
The ideal candidate has a background in microeconomic theory (e.g., market design) or industrial organization and a strong interest in energy and environmental economics. Applicants are expected to show outstanding commitment to research and must have obtained a PhD when taking up the position. Teaching is not required. However, upon mutual agreement, teaching can be done at the JKU Linz.
