The Institute of Economics at Corvinus University of Budapest invites applications for an assistant professor position for three years. The starting date is fall 2025, but some flexibility is possible. Various tenure track can be offered in case of mutual satisfaction.

Corvinus University is the leading university in the field of economics in Hungary and is centrally located at the heart of Europe. The University maintains an excellent position as a center for research and teaching and attracts an international group of students and faculty. It offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs in the areas of economics, business and social sciences. Corvinus has been granted accreditation by EQUIS, EPAS, and EAPAA, and is a member of several international networks such as CEMS.

The successful candidate is a young researcher holding (or being close to completing) a PhD in Economics from an internationally recognized university. (S)he will conduct independent research while at the same time contributing to the ongoing research activities and teach classes in microeconomics and/or empirical IO and/or macroeconomics. Applications from all fields of economics are welcome. Researchers with experience in labor economics are particularly encouraged to apply. We explicitly encourage international applications.

The successful candidate will be offered an Assistant Professor position on the research track with publication expectations and a moderate teaching load in accordance with the University's Academic Career Model. In addition, the candidate will be expected to apply for research grants.
