2025 Job Announcement Tenure-Track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor position

The Graduate Institute of Development Studies (GIDS) at National Chengchi University invites applications for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor/associate professor/professor with expertise in development studies, encompassing multidisciplinary fields such as political, economic, social, and sustainable development, among others. Priority will be given to candidates with expertise in economic development or sustainable development.

A successful candidate for this tenure-track position is expected to teach a variety of courses in the following fields (in Chinese and/or English):

Graduate courses: economic / sustainable development related courses, Quantitative research method-related courses and/ or

Undergraduate general education courses: Taiwan politics, China studies, development studies-related courses.

Position begins on August 1, 2025

**Please submit:

1. Curriculum Vitae (indicating academic experiences, specializations, research interests, and the rank of position you apply for) .

2. Certificate of PhD degree (Those who have not received the diploma must provide proof of having passed oral exam or of approval of dissertation) and other documents that prove related academic and practical experiences. Foreign PhD diploma must be authenticated by ROC (Taiwan) Consular Office no later than May 15, 2025.

3. Official PhD transcript (not required for applicant who has the ranked associate professor or higher Certificates issued by the Ministry of Education, ROC (Taiwan) ).

4. List of publications.

5. PhD dissertation (not required for applicants who are ranked associate professors or higher) and up to five representative publications from the last 5 years.

6. Two to Four syllabi of courses (including at least two in English) you intend to teach.

7. Two recommendation letters (not necessary for holders of university teacher certificate issued by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education; letters should be sent to the GIDS by registered mail before January 31, 2025.
